Way out is about going through a difficult time in my life, specifically when I lost my sister to cancer when I was 12 years old, the song is explaining how I went to school the next day and what I and my family went through.

Evelyn gets her influences from classic soul RnB artists such as Whitney Houston, Micheal Jackson, Donna Summer, Luis Miguel, Selena, Marina, and the Diamonds, Lana del Rey, Frank Ocean, Tyler The Creator and many indie artists.

Music became her life as a little child and started performing at events at just 12 years old. She graduated high school early to pursue her music career. And studied music recording at Utah Valley University.

After those years I lost multiple friends to suicide at a very young age, trying to express my emotions, dealing with depression, Writing this song was a form of therapy and has helped me find a way to share my story and connect to people on a different level.
